Standing Deadwood

I thought I'd have a go at the Abstract Thursday AT497 challenge today, came across this really old post in a field and thought a close up would do nicely! I found the patterns in which parts of it have rotted away to be really interesting. I have added an extra shot as it was hard to choose.
