revelling

Well, we had sunshine on New Year’s Day, followed by an aurora and a starry night, and this morning dawned cold and frosty and I felt like walking up a hill.

It took ages to thaw out the car and I drove carefully to Tynron, avoiding icy patches of road. The wee car park was full - the hall was being tidied after the recent Hogmanay revels. This is village phone box - no phone but some wonderful stained glass art. I especially liked the ceilidh dancers.

I had a wonderful walk up Auchengibbert Hill, with the summit to myself (extra). It was chilly up these so I didnt linger. Another cold and frosty one tonight, I think.
