World's longest venomous snake...averaging 3-4 meters in length with a world record of 5.85 m (19+ feet).  Despite its common name, it is not phylogenetically a true cobra.  Yet it is highly venomous and, due to volume of venom it can deliver, its bite can kill a human in as little as 30 minutes.  As I understand it, it dines mostly on other snakes but will also take lizards and rodents.

Native to much of Asia it is considered to be Endangered with a declining population. This one lives in the Zoo in Milwaukee.
