Catch up

Friends from Exeter popped in for coffee on their way north. Lovely to have a vey quick catch up - especially to see the kids who are growing up so fast.
Sent new year greetings to our son out in NZ at 11am. Still can’t quite get used to this time difference.
Then our turn to head north. Said our farewells to sister in law (see you in NZ), and parents in law (see you in April), and then the M5,M6, M74.
Mindful of the awful weather forecast we managed to dodge a fair amount. Hit rain around Manchester and the Lakes, a long hold up following an accident but we’re home by 8pm. 8 hours drive - not too bad.
I just about manage to stay awake for the bells - MrKT was already asleep.
