River Rapids

Today was our first day at Alton Towers, which was the real purpose of heading to this part of the country. Roz, Maddy and I had Merlin passes which meant free entry for us. We also had loads of free entry vouchers courtesy of our Tesco clubcard for all the others we headed down with.

It was good, and the big rides were still excellent but the queues were ridiculous. Several of us waited almost an hour and a half to get on Rita. Still, at the end of the day the queues got shorter and you could get on Oblivion without queueing at all.
