Brilliant start

After a leisurely breakfast, with home baked Zopf, we headed out for a lovely walk. It was fantastic, my Hausberg, Chestenberg, a 10km walk of two halves. Up on the ridge above Schloss Brünegg, it was an Arctic style winter wonderland, not snowing, but thawing rime ice falling off the trees in crunchy, sparkling drifts. Back down in the forest, still frozen ground, but not much snow left.
