Hairy Woodpecker

We visited our friend's house today for a New Year's Day social gathering.
We enjoyed the people and the  conversation very much. 
I noticed a woodpecker on her birdfeeder that was doing its best not to be seen as it got a snack.
I think it might be a Hairy Woodpecker, though others thought it is a Sap Sucker.
