Day 1 of 365

We had a storm last night of heavy rain, thunder, lightning, and hail. It lasted about an hour. I went for my walk this morning down to the beach. I saw remnants of the storm on my walk and on the beach. It was a mild day and the clouds were amazing. On the way back the sun came out for a little bit. We then went down the street to my sisters for brunch. 
I asked my brother yesterday what I could make him and dad for dinner today, he said meatloaf and mashed potatoes. So when I got home I got to work on food shopping and dinner.  Later we all gathered at the rehab with a  vassilopita ( a traditional Greek sweet bread or a cake with a coin in it that is cut on New Year’s Day. The one who gets the coin in their slice has a lucky year) We gathered in the common area at the rehab center. Dad got the coin.
