Life's Little Moments

Bring it on!

I thought I'd start the year with a Tufted Titmouse, because, really, you can't go wrong with them.  They are a color palette that the camera likes and they are off the charts when it comes to cuteness.  Other than a crop, a slight vignette, and a small adjustment in highlights, I didn't do anything else to this image.  The snappy hairdo is thanks to some wind gusts that were wreaking havoc with my hide.

This morning, I went for my covid jab.  I purposely delayed getting it so that it will be a maximum strength when I travel to Texas next month.  I will be on 6 flights in 12 days, and I'm sure they will all be packed, so I'll take whatever extra protection from germs I can get.  Usually I feel pretty crappy the day after the jab, although I remain hopeful that I will avoid the side effects this time.  Unlikely, but maybe...

I don't make New Year's resolutions but I do have certain things I want to pay attention to this year.  Mostly, I want to be the best version of myself and remember to always be kind to others.  I hope not to worry as much, although that may be harder to accomplish.

I was planning to take Jax out for a walk this afternoon, but then the drizzle started and I abandoned that plan since Jax truly hates any form of rain.  Frankly, it's much colder today so the dampness is making if feel very raw, which is unpleasant for all of us.  Better afternoon to stay indoors.  Instead, I undecorated the tree and the house and Hubs moved the boxes of decorations back to the basement.  The tree will stay outside on the patio for a while, giving the birds a place to take cover if a hawk comes by.  All good.

Happy 2025!
