Hello 2025

Me:   We won't go to the park today.
Him:  ?
Me:  It's cold and it is raining.
Him: but I want to go
Me:   No, you really don't
Him:  Yes, I really do (putting his head on my lap and wag thumping his tail)

So we went. In the rain.  He explored the bushes, stalked squirrels, chased pigeons, played leapfrog with Connie the labradoodle and ran through belly high wet grass in manic zoomies of ever decreasing circles.  I wore my (fairly) new hooded and very long winter coat and discovered that it is both warm and waterproof and stayed completely dry - at least, on the inside. So, win-win on this utterly awful wet winter's day. What a way to welcome 2025!
