The first sun of the year

We had such foul weather these last days, but today the sun was out an hour or so. I started a new audiobook and headed around the lakes in the crisp air. I saw a heron, lots of ducks and swans, an goldeneye duck, some tufted ducks and the regular gang of shags, airing their wings after the dive.
My new years resolution is to walk more again and getting to use the camera more often, too
