Glass Marble

After yesterday's blip of the Marble Run at the House of Marbles I was struck by the enduring, universal, fascination with marbles. They seem to excite our interest and curiosity both across ages and borders. Watching how excited a 6 year old was, looking at early marbles fashioned from wood and stone, reminded me how rewarding simple things can be. Today's blip shows one of the large marbles I bought yesterday and photographed with my phone camera on the window sill today.
