Voluncheers!

New Year’s Day parkrun today. Edinburgh cancelled due to waterlogged course, so we headed to Portobello. A truly miserable day to start the new year, but over 400 mad parkrunners turned up in the cold and rain for their 5k fix. None of this would have been possible without the hardy band of volunteers who stood out in the freezing rain and saw us all safely round.  I’m sure everyone was mighty relieved to get a warm shower or bath afterwards. My first extra of the year shows us before the start and some of the puddles on the course.
