Fairy

My last day of work today. I went to the office, as I wanted to pickup a couple of last minute things from John Lewis. The bus was very empty, and the roads were very quiet, so we were in Edinburgh earlier than usual. The office wasn’t opening until 8am, so I got off the bus early, and enjoyed a longer walk.

There weren’t many people in today, and I spent my day dealing with two very annoying things that came in, rather than doing the admin that I had planned, and that is much overdue.

I popped out at lunchtime but everywhere was so busy, with massive queues. I got one of the things I went for. The afternoon passed very quickly, then a tannoy announcement told us that the office was closing early, so we all had to get out. I quickly tidied up, put my out of office on, and took the opportunity to go and do the rest of my shopping. The queues weren’t quite so bad.

I was still home earlier than normal, which surprised TT, as he was cooking, but tea wasn’t ready. I pottered, did some more wrapping and generally transitioned into Christmas holiday mode.
