Carsington Water

We walked the 8 miles round Carsington Water this morning. It's an attempt to kickstart my walking after last summer's setback when I pulled a tendon during our house move.

It's an easy 8 miles with not much ascent. So a good start. 

Weather was pretty good for walking, and it's now only 30 minutes drive from our house.

There are a couple of bird hides to visit, and this is the view from one of them. Plenty of coots, tufted duck, mallards and widgeons.
