Desolate

Whilst discussing 'fracking' (i'm not sure either!!) in the House of Lords today, Lord Howell, of Guildford, described the north east of England as 'desolate'.

Its good to know that the people who make the decisions in this country are sensible, well rounded individuals who are in touch with those that they supposedly represent!!

Frack off!!!

His comments inspired a response on twitter under the hashtag 'desolate', to which loads of awesome shots from all over the north east were posted.
