And so it begins...
I have decided to challenge myself to a week of hummingbird blips, this being Day 1...a hummingbird in the cardinal flower (lobelia). Now, of course, because I've committed to doing this, probably a polar bear or a lorikeet will show up in the garden...
Today I joined the Audubon group for a butterfly/dragon walk - as usual, it was a great time with lots of interesting things. I saw my first ever Pipevine Swallowtail, along with over 100 Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, lots of Giant Swallowtails and a host of other assorted smaller butterflies. Also had quite a bit of bug porn, including a mating pair of cidadas and some very happy little milkweed beetles. Add to that the usual dragons and you've got all the makings of a great day! I've posted 10 shots from today on Flickr, starting HERE
Apologies for being a slackard with comments - I'm trying to get caught up!
Happy Tuesday, people.
