Final day;abstract
Early sun through our back room catching the Christmas decorations.
We took our tree down yesterday as it was looking a bit sad and had started curling downwards.
Went to Hillers garden centre today and bought a few locally sourced groceries in the excellent farm shop there. Dropped into Alcester Waitrose to get an Indian meal deal for tonight but alas, no pappadums so didn't bother.
Went back via Stratford Waitrose and struck lucky with the meal deal, complete with pappadums. However, car park was mad, chockablock full with a dodgem like mentality from the desperate drivers circling for a space. I gave up and parked in the next door Park and Ride, figured it was worth a quid to avoid the hassle. I mean, it was new years eve, not a dry run for the nuclear winter, or panic stock-up for storm E for Elrond or whatever the next deluge is going to be named.
10:30pm now and I'm done. The New Year can let itself in and I'll let the youngsters shoulder the hangover quota. I've very much paid my dues on that score. Night-night.
