Today's the day ................................. to write to a friend

Dear Mrs F

This is just to let you know that your special parcel arrived in the post today - perfect timing to take us into the New Year!

You know how much I love looking at your wonderful blips of flowers from your garden and of your favourite places that you visit near where you live.  So to have some of the best of them to hold in my hand in a diary for 2025, will be such a treat.  It will bring back memories of the time when we actually strolled round your garden (cuppa in hand) or went to look at The Chair when Will and I visited New Zealand in 2014.  Good heavens - was that really ten years ago?  It seems like yesterday!

Thank you too for your very apt card (see extra) - across the miles.  Because, there it is - there's no getting away from the fact that you're about 10,000 miles away on the other side of the world.   It does have its advantages though - you can keep me going through the dark days of winter, when there's nothing in my garden, with your exquisite roses and fiery gazanias - and vice versa.  Because of the wonder that is blipfoto, I feel that we are very much in touch.

Best wishes for 2025 to you both - and your Mum.  I know that since you sent your card, she has had her mishap.  Hope she continues to improve and that all goes well with you all.  I look forward to seeing what you've been up to - and many thanks again for making our day today ......................!
