Lords of Ludlow
Mrs L had errands to do in Ludlow this morning so I went to St Laurence's church for a quick look at the medieval stained glass and misericords. But, I've actually chosen the Victorian great west window for my blip photo. The stonework is medieval but the window is Victorian. Installed in 1860, it was designed by Thomas Willement to resemble a medieval piece. I'm not usually a fan of his work - the colours can look quite gaudy - but this one seems just right. Seven of the eleven main figures are shown in my image. Each was significant in the history of Ludlow.
