Odd weather (Day 3522)

There was strong wind and very heavy rain when I got up this morning, and Facebook was full of reports of power cuts and thick snow elsewhere in Orkney. Around midday, the wind and rain seemed to stop fairly suddenly.
It seemed a good time for my beautiful wife to head off to Stromness to deal with the horses, and I got out with Sigyn.
It was very strange weather, there had clearly been a lot of rain, the path up the hill was more of a river, but there was no wind and I was too warm very quickly. As I got further up the hill there were more patches of snow dotted around, some of which looked fairly thick. On the way back home, a heavy shower of thick rain started.
Hopefully everyone who has been affected by the power cuts will be reconnected soon.
