My son and my Dad loved sharing their birthday.

Being born on New Years Eve comes with some drawbacks, not least that it made this time of year quite expensive when I was a bit skint.  

I only went to the hospital for an antenatal appointment, but due to scarcity of staff, I waited for ages in a sideroom, then had to go and  find someone when things started happening!

Time passes. My son is now 49!
