Happy New Year

A couple of Chilean women we encountered on a quick jaunt into the city this afternoon on the evening of the controversial Sydney fireworks.

I do not recall their names but both of them have been a long way from home for a long time.  The one on the left lives in New Zealand and is visiting her friend (on the right) who has lived in Nowra for the last 20 years.

They don't get to Sydney often - they don't like Bondi (water's too dirty) but they love Manly (beautiful clear water).  Both beaches have their good days and their bad days.
