An Old Oak Tree

Within easy walking distance of home there are 3 areas of woodland. Each is different. This one is part of an old estate and there are still remnants of its former glory like this rather battered-looking oak tree. The wood here always looks untidy during winter but still provided a haven for wildlife. Today I heard and then saw a ring-necked parakeet. The first time I have seen one here.
