Farewell Bath.
For now…
The family were out of the house before we left. They were going to see Jack and the Beanstalk at the Redgrave Theatre in Clifton, Bristol, where Grace has performed many times. They were meeting friends and going back to their house afterwards. I’ve never heard of a production giving performances three times a day, they were going to the 11.00am.
I took this of Grace’s living room window decoration with the view of Bath behind, quite clear this morning.
We’ve been up in the revamped second floor bedroom. I can see more easily out of the new Velux and I love the view,
In the fullness of time this will be Jude’s room. She’s not ready yet but she has her dressing table installed up there fir when she wants to do her make up!.
Eda will have the totally new room across the landing, this was an art studio only accessed from Grace and John’s room before. I don’t think she’ll move into it just yet but she has spent the days we’ve been staying ‘camping’ up there on a mattress with a sleeping bag. Whether she’ll continue through the holidays or the fact that we were up on that floor made a difference I don’t know. She seems happy at the prospect.
They will both ultimately have a lot more space.
On our way down the garden I looked for the lovely Hellebore that lurks there by the old pond. Yes it has a flower open and lots of buds. You can see it in my very last extra of the year (lots of recycling)
It was a bit damp to start our journey home but after coffee at Gloucester services we had sunshine all the way till we saw the sunset when arriving in Bradford. John’s dad, who lives in Perth, Scotland, thought we might drive into snow! Windy but fine for now. Worse to come we believe!
Chris has forgotten his chocolate sprouts but otherwise all is well. We’ve had a lovely time, thank you Bath family.
