Super cute boys
The only pic of the day.
The new food trial was a bit of a disaster. I went round to feed the cats at breakfast time and found that yesterday’s dinner had been all eaten, dishes empty, but the litter tray had one normal offering, and the other offering was in liquid form all over the utility room floor. Certainly hadn’t suited one digestive system!!! I couldn’t work out who was the culprit as they both looked ok.
I gave them a sachet of their old food for breakfast, rather than the new stuff.
I received a message from R to say that they were on the way home and would we like to come round for dinner this evening, rather than on Monday as previously planned. That suited us and so we had a most enjoyable evening.
R and I sorted out some plans, whilst S helped B to attach the fittings to the new cycling shoes which he received for Christmas.
I discovered that the new food which comes in little tins, is in a range of flavours in a sampler pack. The idea is to try them out to see which ones they like and can tolerate!! Then those can be bought in larger quantities. So on with the trial.
Mid afternoon I got on with some sewing, using leftover fabric from the Japanese quilt to make small zipped pouches.
In the midst of it I got a text from the daughter of an old friend and neighbour in Essex, to say that she had died suddenly at the beginning of the week. She collapsed and couldn’t be resuscitated. The daughter had found my Christmas letter amongst her Mum’s Christmas cards and so was able to let us know quickly. It was such a shock and gut wrenching. A reminder of the days in the late 80’s when our daughter R went to school and guides with the three daughters, and we all shared fun events for the following 25 years.
