There Be Dragons

We went for a walk in the Big Wood behind West Saltoun this morning. Not far in you see landscaping that's been done to provide a drainage solution. This has created a number of stepped pools. Trees have been planted round them; their roots will help bind the land stronger. Twenty years from now it will be a little idyll. We crouched round the edge for a while and watched the dragonflies and water boatmen.
