Meeting our Great Niece

A family day and an opportunity to meet Heidi, our first great niece, who was born a couple of months ago.  Photographs were being taken thick and fast.  She proved to be a very contented young lady during the afternoon and into the night, with hardly a cry or grizzle at all.  After two generations of the family with only boys being born, it was quite a change.

The meal was wonderful, with food being prepared around us as we chatted in the very social kitchen. It included a very impressive sauerkraut based on Brussels sprouts (never thought I'd say this) to accompany the roast ham.
