First day teaching

I started the morning without the code to get into the building. An appropriate beginning to the rest of the day as I gradually discovered just how far removed reality is from the briefing I had. But I stayed outwardly calm, cheerful and competent-sounding until I got home. There I fell asleep, woke for food my daughter had prepared then went back to bed, completely incapable of preparing for tomorrow.
