Hmmmm
Today I had an appointment booked with an oncologist back in January to start preventive/precautionary chemotherapy. I knew I couldn't make the journey to Memmingen without occasional oxygen support and only had the big home plug-in machine. Booked an ambulance which took me there.
Wheeled up to the practice and was seen by the doctor after only a short weight. He didn't know me, but took one look at me and said "If I start chemotherapy on you, you'll be dead by the end of the week."
Doc was superb, gave me a brief check over, some useful & very important advice on oxygen machines, and said I must get to a lung doctor ASAP to get a so-called 'port' put into neck area so as to be able to give large quantities of artificial food.
Calmed by the whole visit, Angie who had followed by car took me home.
