Steak & chips

Bronchioscopy in the morning.  No hole in the lung. Finally the surgical team who have been treating me p to now, have admitted defeat and passed me over to the team for inner-medicine.  Things should now start to happen. 

Start on artificial food. Won't give me a port in the neck due to risk of infection & are going to try and force artificial food through infusion needle in arm.
Bag has 1000kcal in1468ml
So 0.7kcal/ml. 
Vein giving 40ml/hour
Best case: 0.7 x 40 x 24= 672 kcal a day.
As a general rule,  man of my age requires 2,000kcal a day. Naturally I'm not physically active.
 Worth a go although I won't be able to keep the infusion on 24 hours a day.
Start weight 58.3kg
Body Mass Index 16.8 - critically underweight.
