Another National Trust visit

This time to Basildon Park in Berkshire to see their Christmas decorations in the house.  Each room was a Christmas movie, one was a bit tenuous (Meet me in St Louis) and one we couldn’t get (Gremlins).  Still lots of greatly decorated trees.

Home for lunch - managed to find Meet me in St Louis and skimmed through it - only reverence to Christmas was a “ball” attended by the main cast.

Watched that classic “The Sound of Music” this afternoon - having watched a great programme this morning on BBC2 of a uk family - mum, dad and 7 children, all musicians, visiting Salzburg (programmes called “The Hills are alive with the Kenneh -Masons” - great music throughout).
