Coffee, and a narrow escape . . . . .

After another great weekend spent in the Capital I caught the train back into Birmingham, where I paused at Caffe Nero for a welcome dose of caffeine. On leaving the coffee shop I noticed the x51 bus ( my usual method of travel back to Walsall ) was at the stop, but I decided that as it was a warm, muggy evening I'd much rather catch the train, which has nice aircon.
It was only later on in the evening that I discovered that the x51 was involved in a head on crash with a car on the outskirts of Walsall - the car driver was killed, and 25 passengers on the bus were treated for their injuries. Awful . . . .
