welcome to the real world

Scooters and trains

I woke up to Shani coming into our bed telling me she was proud of herself for sleeping in her own bedroom and that she wants to try to sleep there for the whole night tonight… Let’s see… She very sweetly said to me ‘I wouldn’t have done it without you Chloe. Thank you for teaching me how to sleep by myself.’ Bless her.

FaceTimed auntie Bea at breakfast to show her that Shan knows all the continents in order of size. She thinks it’s ‘Tartica and I don’t have the heart to correct her.

Went to auntie Bea’s for a little chat and a walk/scoot to the shops. Shan even got uncle Doug to join by batting her lovely eyelashes at him. She was being silly on her scooter so I asked her where her brain has gone, to which she replied ‘I left it under my pillow!’ She can be so funny.

We managed to make it home slowly after stopping at the Forum ditch to run up and down - something Joe and I did pretty much everyday going to and from school!

Had some soup and bread for lunch, with some cheese. Shan tried Brie but described it as ‘onion in a sock’ so I don’t think she liked it that much.

Spent the rest of the afternoon playing with the train set with daddy. We all had a lot of fun, but Archie and I may have taken it a bit too seriously… Whilst manning the bus stop, whenever a bus drove past Shan said ‘welcome aboard’ taking her role as conductor in her stride.
