Morris on Boxing Day
Once again MrM drove us to the Kings Arms on Heath Common near Wakefield, to watch Wakefield Morris perform. It was dry and very mild, perfect for watching Morris dancing, and a huge crowd turned up, including many long-time friends. It was good to see so many familiar faces, and to catch up with people's news.
Afterwards, MrM, Angus, and I walked from Heath to Stanley Ferry to see the boats at the marina, and paused for refreshment at the pub before walking back. It was getting late by then, and the pace of the return journey was a little too fast for comfort. Our head torches were in use by the very end of the walk.
Back home for our evening meal, including the Christmas pudding that none of us could manage yesterday.
