Highlight of the day

A casserole of butter beans, fennel, tomato and sourdough courtesy of our favourite cookery writer Anna Jones. The gravy is formed from the juices of the veg combined with tahini and water. A rich and delicious and oh so easy to make dish. If you are a meat eater it would probably go well with chicken or white fish. 

Due to our 2am bedtime last night I slept late and pottered rather than galloped through the day. And why not?

Apparently NYE is going to be a cold, wet and miserable affair. Batten down the hatches …
