I went to Carlisle Cathedral this morning to have a look at the display of Christmas trees before they go in the next day or so.  I particularly wanted to see the one from Oak Tree Animal Charity as it had a picture of a pony who used to live next door and was taken to the charity when the owner died last year.  Anyhow she's called Blencathra and she was re-homed together with her good friend Zara.  I was looking at the website a few months ago and saw that Blencathra was up for adoption again having lost Zara who she'd known for virtually all her life.  Very very sad.  The good news is she seems to have been adopted again.  My neighbour who also used to help look after the ponies told me that she'd seen Blencathra's photo on a Christmas tree at the Cathedral so I had to go and see it for myself.  Hopefully she's happy in her new home.
