Blue Skies

Now there's something we haven't seen for a while; blue sky!

W and I had an afternoon walk out from the Cley Visitor Centre to the beach and back.  The light on the way out was beautiful; really golden with long shadows, and was only just starting to fade on the way back.  There were lots of geese flying over, a large number of Lapwings and plenty of other birds in the marsh pools.  As we were heading back we watched two swans flying at first away from us before circling around and doing a full circuit of the marsh.  As they approached us we noticed it was an adult and a cygnet; the adult made it over the nearby road into a pond but the cygnet landed right next to us seemingly exhausted.  I'm sure he'd make it over the road into the pond after a short rest.
