Goosey Goosey Gander.

A nice sunny morning. However it had clouded over by the time we set off on our walk.
Still a pleasant day and no rain.
Just a local walk to the pond and back.
We were surprised to see 4 Canada geese had returned, and I counted 27 mallards. They were all in luck as I had taken some duck food with me.

This afternoon I booked a short stay in Bridlington. Part of our traditional snowdrop visit to Burton Agnes Hall, in February, to see the snowdrops.
Fingers crossed for fine weather. Last year we couldn’t do our coastal walk round Flamborough as it poured down.

Now off to make some dumplings for the stew. Made with the capon carcass.Always something we enjoy after a Christmas.

I wonder if they recite the old Goosey Goosey Gander nursery rhyme in schools any more now.
