Number147

Sunday

There was a window of pleasant weather this morning.

I realised that I still had Lucy's Christmas present so that gave Clive and I an excuse to walk the long route to deliver it to her. On the way, we stopped to see Louisa and Paul and look at the folly that they've had built in their garden.

Our children went round to spend time with Sylvia, Arthur and George before leaving for Belfast and London.

We had lunch and now Clive is driving to the airport. Florence will take the coach to London tomorrow.

Christmas has been full on and I'm looking forward to a bit of normality. I may get some bare rooted roses and spend time in the garden.

The swan was near the wharf.
