Mistake

A week or so ago, last time we had snow, the temperature was very low and hard surfaces froze and were very slippery. Mr M and I had to leave for a few hours and I was expecting a delivery. I was worried about the delivery person falling on the sidewalk so in a rush I spread cat litter on the icy sidewalk. Yesterday the temperature was much warmer and there was a light rain. All the snow and ice melted away, leaving just the litter behind. When we came home last evening in the dark, we tramped through it and subsequently dragged it all through the house. First job this morning, after everyone is fed, will be rinsing the walk and then cleaning the floors.
