Alps

Been a corker of a beautiful sunny day but, as is often the case at this time of year, literally freezing cold. Temperature never above 0⁰C and down to -8⁰C at night. 

Strangely this 'inversion'  weather means it's warmer the higher you get and the absolute wind still is causing morning and evening fog down at our 600m above sea-level.

Today was practice day for the first ski jumping round of the '4 Hills' tournament in Germany & Austria taking place at Oberstdorf not far from here and somewhere in the photo. Ideal conditions. The other three competitions jumps at Garmisch, Innsbruck & Bischofshofen will be completed by 6th January.
