Bottled memories

If I'd planned things carefully, I'd have opened this bottle of Sevenhill wine late next month, 3 years to the day since we bought it at the Sevenhill Winery in the Clare Valley of South Australia.

The extra is a photo taken on 30 January 2022 when Rana and I visited the historic winery, established by Jesuits in the 1850s to make sacramental wine. They still do that, and also make a range of high-quality table wine. In the photo we seem to be taking a very serious approach to a wine-tasting session, possibly a little overawed by the dominant portrait of one of the Jesuit fathers peering at us.
