The dawn sky (sunrise approx 08:45 at the moment) looked very lovely, with lots of variety and definition in it that the sky/sea in our current jigsaw lacks (which see). We've made a certain amount of progress, but there are large areas of nondescript mauve-y lilac that will take us till next year, at least.
Went along to Asda, not so much for the supermarket as the Timpsons in a portakabin. My wristwatch fell off my wrist yesterday due to the strap having decayed - the Timpsons man replaced it very quickly and we had a conversation about wrist watches (he uses one too, but says they're in steep decline). I pointed out that a lot of young persons are allegedly unable to read a clock face, which hadn't occured to him - but he was going to go home and check that his wee daughter could do this, and if not, teach her!
