Accidental Find
130 acres of old growth forest hidden at the end of a suburban residential street. It’s so secluded I won’t chance hiking there alone. We saw two white-tailed deer a few times, some vernal pools, lots of tall trees (they date back to before people settled in Ohio), a black squirrel, and heard a red-bellied woodpecker. I’ve driven past the street where it dead ends in the preserve dozens of times. It’s a well-kept secret. Not much foot traffic.
