Murrayfield
I’m currently frustrated by my inability to change the date on yesterday’s entry, which I posted just after midnight without noticing the date. Now I may not be able to post this, which is actually today’s blip. Gah!
Anyway: we’ve been quite active. Over 10,000 steps without noticing. First it was a walk with son and dog to Craigleith shopping centre just because… I bought a T-shirt in M&S sale, greatly reduced. And then we had lunch - mini burgers and “fish suppers” from M&S - to keep us going for an afternoon at Murrayfield, watching Glasgow Warriors go down to Edinburgh Rugby. To be honest, it’s better fun watching grandson James play, but it was interesting to be there, at a match with 40,000 others. The American- style frenzy-music over the sound system was a bore, but the sound of the crowd when someone scored was immense, like a huge wave on a pebble beach. Fantastic.
Dinner was also fantastic, because it was so different from what I do and was delicious and because I’d had nothing to do with it. Back to reality tomorrow, weather permitting.
Now to see if I can post this …
Collage of grandsons, the walk to the stadium and the scene from the terracing.
