Road to nowhere

Shock! We took Bonnie out in the continuing fog, and wanting somewhere nearby we went to Burnsbeck Moss, a CWT nature reserve. Or it used to be…..
The bushes and ground vegetation have all been bulldozed away. The beck has been stripped of all vegetation. The boardwalk leads into a devastation of mud.
Last year, there were flowers, bumblebees, dragonflies, Marsh Fritillaries ….
I’m sure it’s meant well? But I’m going to take some convincing and the spring will be interesting.
We went home and had Christmas cake and sherry to cheer us up!
