Panto Time
Just back from the pantomime held at the LorettoTheatre in Musselburgh, which is standing in as a venue for the Brunton, with our extended family. Poor Mr Flum felt too unwell but I went, and wore a face mask.
Loosely based on Dickens' A Christmas Carol, there were many local and topical references, lots of arm-waving for the audience to join in and, of course, children shouting 'it's behind you' and the 'oh no it isn't' beloved of panto everywhere.
A seafood restaurant was next on the entertainment list, for all eleven of us, however, still being stuffed up with the cold, I kept my choice simple and with a resolve to return with Mr Flum and take full advantage of the menu when we can breathe and have located our taste buds.
Assuming the role of poorly, aged Granny, I was chauffered there and chauffeused home with tender care, which made the outing a real treat. Thank you, kids
