Puzzling Tess

With Tess struggling with a rotten cold which came on yesterday and me glad of an excuse for a lie-in, we gave Park Run a miss this morning although Chris, to his credit, did it in very soggy conditions both underfoot and in the air.

Instead we had a post-Christmas tidy up the took Sophie’s new bike down to their place as there wasn’t room for it in their car yesterday- it’s big enough for Tess and Kate to ride (not together, mind you!)

While Tess continued tidying this afternoon, I got some turkey stock on the go, bagged up the rest of the meat and had my first attempt at making shortcrust pastry for a turkey, ham and cheesy leek pie with some of the leftovers.

When she’d done with tidying, Tess couldn’t resist doing a bit more of yesterday’s puzzle and was delighted when the whole of the sky fell in ….. to place.
