Friday Fry Up

After all the activity over the past few days, it was nice to have a free day to get up late and relax at home away from the chilly fog outside. Some of the Christmas chocolate has been eaten, and a birthday present for my sister has been wrapped ready for tomorrow, when the contents will be revealed.

Yesterday I brought home the remainder of the turkey, vegetables, stuffing and potatoes and this evening it made the perfect traditional post-Christmas meal of cold meat with bubble and squeak and tomato ketchup which Mum used to do. I even deliberately burnt the bubble and squeak in the frying pan to make it crispy on the outside just as she always did. Delicious!
